LANA DEL REY - NATIONAL ANTHEM

This video has A$AP Rocky playing as JFK with Lana Del Rey playing Jackie O and Marilyn Monroe in a hip-hop version of Camelot.

It’s brilliant,really.

Blawan - Getting Me Down

I am not entirely sure why, but this song reminds me of New York in the late 90’s, when I was still living in the Bronx and commuting on the Metro, and it would ride on the overpass after rising from the terminal, modern and grand.

Or I’m completely full of shit, and I’m just experiencing nostalgia because there’s a Brandy sample in the song and I feel old for remembering that I used to listen to Brandy.

Darkside (Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington), give their song “A1″ a cinematic treatment from Pomp & Clout, with a bunch of post-apocalyptic bedouins roaming the desert digging for crystals. For me,I’m reminded of Star Wars(Sand People, anyone?) and this quite frankly, puts me in a good place, musically speaking.
